Founder’s Note – The Story Behind G93
How the Idea Was Born
Sometimes, the most meaningful journeys begin unintentionally.
G93 was not born from a grand plan or a formal blueprint. It began almost by accident—out of a simple moment that turned into a powerful realization. What started as an attempt to create a group for another purpose soon transformed into an opportunity to reconnect, rebuild friendships, and bring together a brotherhood that time and distance had scattered.
Rather than letting that moment pass, the idea evolved naturally: why not gather our own people, our own batch, and create something meaningful together? That single thought became the foundation of what G93 is today.
From a Small Circle to a Growing Brotherhood
In the early days, the vision was shared with a few close friends who believed in the idea, even while some of them were living overseas. With their encouragement, the group began to grow—one member at a time. What started with a handful of familiar names soon turned into a circle of trusted friends.
A simple Sahar dinner at Galle Face marked one of the earliest milestones. It wasn’t just a meal; it was a moment of reconnection, reflection, and shared purpose. Conversations that night focused on unity, growth, and how to expand the group while preserving its core values.
From there, G93 grew steadily—not through numbers alone, but through trust, friendship, and a shared sense of belonging.
Leadership, Challenges, and Continuity
Like any living community, G93 experienced its share of transitions and challenges. Leadership changed hands, responsibilities evolved, and at times the group faced moments of uncertainty. Yet, every challenge strengthened the foundation rather than weakening it.
Whenever unity was tested, the guiding principle remained the same: G93 exists for togetherness, not division. Through collective effort and mutual respect, the group continued to move forward, adapting and growing with time.

G93 is more than a group—it is a bond.
It represents lifelong friendships, shared memories, collective responsibility, and a commitment to standing by one another. Whether through social gatherings, sports, charity, education, or moments of personal need, G93 is built on the belief that we rise together
